Quadcopter Arm Locking System

This arm locking system allows the arms of a quadcopter to be stowed, and then deployed and locked. It utilizes a spring  that forces down a carrier that contains pins into holes in the arms.

Retention Structure

This structural system is responsible for withstanding over 500lbs of load, housing multiple mechanical and electrical systems, all while staying within a 10cmx10cm cross-sectional area. I am a designer and manufacturer of this system, as well as being directly responsible for all integration within this system.

Wood Storage

In the summer of 2020 I designed and built a place to store firewood for my family. While it has many areas I would improve today, I gained skills in design, allocation of funds, and working with handtools and power tools.

Locking Screw Mechanism

This system utilizes a driving servo and gears that actuate a female threaded rex shaft that screws out of a screw on the top of a quadcopter to deploy it. I was the primary designer and manufacturer of this system.

T-Bar Arm Retention System

This system utilizes linkages that are actuated by a solenoid to retain and deploy the arms of a quadcopter. I was responsible for aiding in the design and integration process, and for manufacturing and ordering the components of the system.

Water Bottle Rocket Research

In high school, I created a water bottle rocket and launcher. I collected data on how high the rocket flew based on the volume of water in the rocket. Ultimately I wrote a 4000 word paper on the relationship between the volume and achieved apogee.
